Dr. Sandra Benavidez has been responsible for massive programming efforts in the areas of mental health, school counseling, student support services, discipline, and school safety. In this capacity she has served 2 million students across 325 school districts. She is a lifelong learner whose mission is to change the world one educator at a time. She previously launched and continues to grow her partner company Immigr8, which serves over 650,000 global students across four states.
Dr. Benavidez’ ability to build and drive successful programs comes from her 20-year background as a bilingual teacher, counselor, lead counselor, counseling consultant, counselor coach, director of guidance and counseling, administrator, and Executive Director. Additionally, she has had the opportunity to lead systemic change in one of the largest school districts in the state of Texas. From student support services including discipline, truancy, and behavior change to guidance and counseling, restorative practices, and college career & military readiness (CCMR) to leading seven alternative education campuses, Dr. Benavidez has the expertise to lead across the many facets of education.
Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington, a Master’s degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University (DBU), and a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. She continues to serve her dear alma mater, DBU, as an adjunct professor where she dedicates her time to growing the next generation of educational leaders.
